Qatar visa on arrival for Indians
When it comes to travelling to Qatar, citizens of certain countries may have the opportunity to do so without the need to present a visa when entering this country.
One of them is India where people coming from this country can enjoy the privilege of entering and staying in Qatar during an established period of time without a visa.

How long can an Indian citizen stay in Qatar without a visa?
Persons travelling to Qatar from India may stay in this country without a visa for a period of 30 days and may extend this for another 30 days.
However, this situation changes the moment the person decides to extend its stay in the country outside the time established in the visa exemption, which makes it obligatory to process this document to be able to stay legally in the country.
Types of Qatar visa for Indians
At the time of applying for the visa, Indian nationals will have different options depending on the reason for which they wish to apply for this document.
Family Visit Visa
For Indian nationals who have been residing in Qatar for some time, the family visit visa will allow them to have the opportunity to bring their family members to visit for a specified period of time.
It should be noted that this type of visa is mainly issued to immediate family members, although it can also be applied for to receive other family members.
Business visa
Indian nationals planning to travel to Qatar for business purposes should apply for a business visa.
Once this visa has been given, it will be valid for 30 days and can be extended for a further 60 days once it has expired.
Student visa
Indian nationals intending to settle in Qatar to pursue studies in one of the academic institutions established in the country are required to apply for this visa.
Work visa
All persons from India travelling to Qatar for the purpose of employment will be required to apply for this visa.
However, it is the responsibility of the employer to apply for this visa on behalf of the applicant.
It should be noted that applicants must have been employed by the employer for a minimum period of 2 years.
What are the requirements for Indians to apply for a Qatar visa?
All those people from India who wish to travel to Qatar either for tourism or work purposes must present the following documents on arrival in the country.
- Indian passport valid for at least six months.
- Copies of the first page of the passport (2)
- Passport size photos (2)
- Visa Application Form (Form V1)
- Hotel reservation
- Confirmed return ticket
- Scanned copy of the detailed itinerary in which the name of the visa applicant must appear.
- Copy of the visa applicant's bank statements for the last three months.
- Handwritten and signed cover letter specifying the purpose of the trip, the dates and the city(s) of destination. It should also indicate the place where you will be accommodated for the duration of your stay in the country. It should be noted that this letter should be addressed to the Qatari embassy.
If the person applying for the visa is a minor, the letter must be made and signed by its representative.
Another point to bear in mind is that depending on the type of visa the person is applying for; additional documents may be required.
In the case of Indian nationals who have been employed by a Qatari company, they will be required to submit the following additional documents:
- Letter from employer
- Original and copy of the employment contract provided by the company/company/organization by which you have been employed.
How Indians apply for a Qatar visa?
Here are the steps to follow to apply for the entry visa:
The first thing you will need to do is to enter the official website of Qatar Immigration.
Once there, enter the required information and check the appropriate options.
When you have completed each stage of the visa application process, the next thing you will do is download and print the form; make sure you sign it.
Then go to the nearest Qatari embassy with the form and other required documents.
After your visa application has been accepted here, you can then keep track of its status through the Qatari Ministry of Interior's website.
It is worth mentioning that since the receipt of the visa application until its approval and subsequent issuance may take between 7 to 10 working days.
